It is often said that children are the future, as they will be looking after the generations before them someday. Because this is true, it is necessary for communities to nourish, respect, and care for their children to the best of their ability in order to produce a better future for us all. This is why we here at Kilgro Insurance Agency support the work of the Mosaic Mentoring of North Alabama, which focuses on providing mentorship and support for children facing adversity.

The mission of Mosaic Mentoring of North Alabama is to provide children that are facing adversity with strong, enduring, and professionally supported relationships with a mentor that changes their lives for the better, forever. Their goal is to help the children in our community grow up to be positive, successful human beings who contribute to and take part in society. Like a mosaic, they aim to take the broken pieces of a child’s life and turn them into a beautiful thing. They offer several programs, including TOPs (Teens Offering Partnership), in which high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors are paired with elementary school-aged children. The Mentors spend about an hour a week, during school hours, with their Mentees. The Mentors help their Mentees with social and academic issues and it gives them a chance to give back to their community.
